About Me

Mental Health Counsellor

After battling with my own mental health from a relatively young age, I developed a keen interest in learning and training in ways to deal and cope with my mental health problems.

As a result, I completed a BSc Hons degree in Psychology. I also completed a post-graduate PgCE teaching certificate, a life coaching diploma, a counselling degree and training in NLP foundation and holistic health practices. I am a registered member of the BACP and am fully insured as a counsellor.

Confidence & Style Coach

In 2017 I trained as a personal stylist with Gail Morgan at Study in Style as I had a fascination for clothes, fashion and anything to do with style, colour and creativity. I also thought it an interesting approach to build self-confidence, self-esteem and mental resilience.

The insights I gained about myself helped me better understand who I was here to serve.

And that is why I developed a self-image and style coaching programme that combined my skills as a mental health counsellor and psychologist with style, colour and image coaching.

Why My Story Resonates

I’m discovering that more and more women are struggling on the mental health front, particularly in the current climate of uncertainty and growing anxiety around their health and future prospects.

As I’ve already shared, I’ve had to contend with my own mental health challenges and have devised a number of different ways to overcome these, which I want to share most passionately with other women facing similar issues.

And then to offer a combination of self-image counselling and style and colour coaching to help women create a stronger identity for themselves, break free from imposter syndrome and comparisonitis and build lasting confidence.

In the past my lack of self-belief and self-esteem, meant that I was prone to questioning the fashion items I bought, even when deep-down I knew the colours and styles suited me. That’s because I was always looking for approval from others and when I didn’t always get it, I found fault with my choices and doubted my ability to make the right decision.

This then impacted decision-making in all areas of my life, not just in terms of my wardrobe choices.

So if you identify with my story, then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

I’ve since established methods and tools that help to affirm myself in a more positive light, such that I more fully believe in myself and the choices I make.

It’s my mission now to help you overcome this tendency to self-judge and to making choices that are not congruent for you because of needing to win the approval of others.

I want to help you:

  • forge a new, positive self-image
  • free you from comparisonitis and other self-destructive behaviours
  • liberate you from the yoke of wanting to please others
  • embrace your unique individuality, signature style and wardrobe
  • experience more confidence, joy and self-belief in your life
  • find opportunities for personal growth and strengthening of purpose.
